AFC Champions League 2: Al Taawoun one step away from the final

Al Taawoun seeks to complete its mission and reach the AFC Champions League 2 final when it hosts its Emirati counterpart, Sharjah, in a decisive second-leg match amidst an exciting competitive atmosphere. This match will be tough and challenging for Al Taawoun, who are seeking to reach the continental final.

The Sharjah Club Stadium will host the second leg on Tuesday evening, after the two teams met last week in Buraidah. On the other hand, Sharjah has performed admirably so far in the tournament, making them one of the strongest candidates to win the title. They are making steady progress towards that goal, having qualified for the semi-finals, especially after the encounter. The thrilling quarter-final clash with fellow UAE side Shabab Al Ahli.

But Sharjah also needs to regain their attacking edge, having failed to win their last two home matches in the AFC Champions League. For this important encounter, the Emirati team has been given a week off to prepare optimally.

Al Taawoun, on the other hand, played their Saudi Professional League match against Al Akhdoud a few days ago, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
