Doha, April 14 (QNA) – The second edition of the Khalifa International Squash Open 2025 concluded, held at the Khalifa International Squash Complex over four days, with wide participation from all age groups.
In the women’s competition, Zoe Makarios won first place, followed by Hadiya Al Kuwari in second place.
Walid Zaman won first place in the men’s professional category, with Salem Al Malki in second place.
In the men’s first-level category, Ali Mansour won first place, followed by Samiullah Sajid in second place.
In the men’s over-45 category, Ahmed Mandour won first place, followed by Asim Mirza in second place.
Jaber Al Nuaimi took first place in the boys’ under-17 category, while Abdulaziz Al Bani Hussein finished second.
In the boys’ under-15 competition, Mohammed Al Tamimi won first place, followed by Yousef Al Nuaimi in second place.
In the under-13 boys’ category, Hassan Alian took first place, while Omar Abu Hamad came in second.
Junaid Mansour won first place in the under-11 boys’ category, followed by Hamza Al-Dasouki in second place.
In a press statement, Mr. Saad Al-Mohannadi, the tournament director, praised the strong performance of the male and female players during this edition’s competitions, reflecting the development of the game locally.
Al-Mohannadi said, “We are keen to make this tournament a true platform for honing talent and gaining experience, which contributes to improving performance and promoting the game within Qatar, in addition to enhancing the readiness of Qatari players for international competition.”
